Circle of Security

What is Circle of Security?

At times, all caregivers feel lost about what our child might need from us.  Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was asking from you.  The Circle of Security Parenting program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened.

What You Will Learn

Program Details

Any caregiver with a child 5 years of age or younger can register.

There will be a 30 minute introductory session held.  Parents will learn about Circle of Security, get a sense of what the 8 session series will consist of and whether the material resonates with them and their parenting style.

After the introductory session, parents who express interest in participating in the full 8 session series will be contacted to schedule a brief intake in order to discuss their goals for their time in the COS-P group and determine their availability for ongoing in-person group meetings.  While session times will be determined based on group members' availability, they are almost always held during daycare/school hours to provide parents with a calm space for reflection.

Program Cost

Participation in the introductory session is free to caregivers.

Participation in the 8 session series is $400, which is due at time of registration prior to the first session.  There is significant amount of work that happens in preparation for a group, so an absence from the group will not result in a refund for the session.

However, emergencies happen, and if the parent would like to review the missed material during a 1-1 session, we can coordinate an alternative time.  The cost for those sessions will be the usual individual session rate.

At time of registration and payment, an invoice will be provided to the family.  For those who would like to submit for out of network insurance reimbursement, a Superbill will be provided at the end of the 8 session series in order to include participation dates.
